The California Early Care and Education Workforce Registry (CA ECE Registry) is an online system that supports early childhood professionals and recognizes the valuable work that you do! We are working to bring increased recognition and professionalism to the early childhood field across California.
With an ECE Registry profile, you can take advantage of helpful resources to guide your career choices and plan your professional growth.
How to Join:
Creating your profile is a simple process that takes only a few minutes.
Step 1 – Create your online profile (only one account per person)
Fill out our easy-to-navigate online application. Tell us about your education, training, and employment history. Creating your profile is a simple process that takes only a few minutes.
Step 2 – Complete your profile
To have a Complete Profile in the ECE Registry, upload your qualification documents. Your Registry Profile functions as electronic professional portfolios where you can upload transcripts, California Child Development Permits, California Teaching Credentials, professional development hours, and other certifications. This enables you to have a consolidated record of your professional and educational accomplishments.

Build your CA ECE Workforce Registry profile and start building your future
As a member of the CA ECE Registry you will have access to many different services and tools. You must have an account and be logged in to the Registry to access these features. Non-members are still able to search the training calendar.
Training Calendar
Search for professional development opportunities throughout California. Completed professional development will be added to your Education and Training Report when you enroll in trainings on the ECE Workforce Registry.
Verified Education and Training Report
Your verified education and training report can be used for QRIS ratings (such as Quality Counts California), to apply for stipend programs, or to track your professional development activities. This report can be printed to help you build your resume or to share with a prospective employer.
Create Your Professional Growth Plan
Creating a Professional Growth Plan is a useful tool to outline goals, action steps, and document progress towards professional development and career milestones. Your Professional Growth Plan may be aligned with the site you are currently employed at, used to obtain and/or renew your permit, or work towards goals to complete the activities needed to be awarded a stipend.
CA ECE Registry Membership Card
Print your membership card so you always have your Registry ID number with you. To Print: Log in to your Registry profile and click on Quick Links or “My Tools & Settings,” then click on “Membership Card.” Store your Registry ID number in your phone’s contacts or take a picture of your card and store in your phone for easy access at trainings.
Early Learning Workforce Stipend Programs (County-Based)
Make sure your Registry Profile is up-to-date with your personal and employment detail to navigate to county specific stipend programs that offer financial incentives to increase your qualifications when employed in early care and education field.
Resume Builder
Build your resume with the Resume Builder tool which uses information from your Registry profile such as your contact information and employment history to create resume format in a Word document. You can then refine your resume to best suit your needs prior to submitting to a prospective employer along with your verified Education and Training Report.
